Volunteer Workday 2025

Join us in honoring the life of Vernon Goertz by volunteering! Vernon led numerous projects, including the construction of the Welcome Center and Sanctuary.

Projects suitable for all ages and skill levels.

SCHEDULE:

  • 8:30 am - Welcome @ Dining Hall

  • 9:00 am - Work Projects Begin

  • Noon - Lunch

  • 4:30 pm - Worship @ Outdoor Chapel 5:30 - Campfire & Hotdogs @ Picnic Shelter

  • 6 pm-8 pm Camp Games

Lunch & Camp t-shirt provided

What to Bring: Hat, Gloves, Old Clothes, Close-Toed Shoes, Release Form (we will have hard copies at the Dining Hall)

Free Will Donation to cover costs of materials. (Type “Workday Supplies” in Donation Notes)

Journey Forward is an adult camp designed for individuals eager to embrace the opportunities of aging while staying active and engaged.

Journey Forward empowers campers to celebrate this stage of life, and forge connections into faith, nature, and community, with like-minded people .

Join us for a fun experience that inspires you to move forward with vitality and purpose!

Camp Schedule Overview

🌿 April 29:

  • 1:00 PM – Check-in & settle in

  • 1:30 PM – Welcome & get-to-know-you time

  • 2:30 PM – Scavenger hunt or personal reflection time

  • 3:45 PM – Group discussion

  • 4:15 PM – Nourishment for body, mind, and spirit

  • 6:00 PM – Dinner

  • 7:00 PM – Campfire, Journey Stick activity, and games

🔥 April 30:

  • 8:00 AM – Morning devotions at Inspiration Point

  • 8:30 AM – Breakfast & journaling

  • 9:30 AM – Creative & wellness activities (crafts, yoga, forest bathing)

  • 12:00 PM – Lunch

  • 1:00 PM – Adventure activities (challenge course, kayaking, pickleball, Street Racket)

  • 4:00 PM – Special session with Adam Barlow-Thompson

  • 6:00 PM – Hobo dinner

  • 7:00 PM – Evening campfire with music, storytelling, and activities

🌄 May 1:

  • 8:00 AM – Morning devotions at Inspiration Point

  • 8:30 AM – Breakfast & journaling

  • 9:30 AM – Pack up

  • 9:45 AM – Inspirational talk: "6 Best Doctors in the World – Life is a Journey"

  • 11:30 AM – Closing circle & reflections

  • 12:00 PM – Departure
